Make a Wish

Make-A-Wish Brasil is affiliated of Make-A-Wish Foundation ® International, one of the most known and respected worldwide institutions to serve the children, present in 36 countries. Founded in 2008, Make-A-Wish Brasil is accredited by Municipal Council of the Children and Adolescent Rights (CMDCA), and has granted the wishes of over 200 children in the country, assisted by 300 volunteers. Headquartered in São Paulo, and the first unit recently was opened in Campinas.

Our mission is to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening illnesses.   Wo do believe that this enriches the human experience with hope, strength and joy. For a seriously sick child, to have a wish come true means that nothing is impossible. It means to recover the hope and strength to carry on fighting, and for a moment forget all suffering and be just a kid.

To have a wish come true is a unique and incommensurable experience for a child fighting an ill that could put his life in risk. It is a source of inspiration for kids undergoing hard medical treatment overcome their obstacles. In turn, the wish experience is an affirmation of life for the kid, his family and the entire community.
