Taking the idea of queries beyond the simple recovery of records, eXtreme Indexing is a completely customizable and extensible query platform. This flexibility is achieved through scripting tools that allow any user to define individual queries that are tailored to the needs of individual applications. That way, an internet-based system can access the databases over web services, executing a different query than a legacy system that executes all accesses through direct TCP/IP connections.
